Recently I have realized I was not very wise in my financial decisions so I decided to take a short, basic course in personal money matters. There they thought us about the investment triangle which also exitst in website / software development, project management - I realized. Them I also realized I was not the first realizing this. |

I became interested in web crawling and checked out results from hotscripts.com and search engines.
The market looked pretty developed, not too big though. There are softwares available even for free and many well established service providers:

FN.hu is Hungary's 3rd largest news portal. There have been 6 previous designs (according to webarchive.org). The previous 2 designs have been running on the same CMS. This time the CMS survived, we only had to add minor functions. |

As project manager at Sanoma Budapest I have the privilege to work for cosmopolitan.hu and other big brands.
Cosmopolitan needed a user photo gallery where users could share, rate and review their photos. There are enough exhibitionist girls out there. :)
This was my first major project and I was lucky since I had experience with photo gallery software as previously being owner of a photo sharing community myself and also since I maintain my own photo gallery with Gallery3. Gallery is imho the absolute best when it comes to open source photo gallery script. I especially enjoy the ease-of-use, the user-friendliness.
Bad enough we could not use Gallery since open source software is a risk in high traffic environments. Thus I had to design functionality, create the dummy, liaise with developers and co-test.
